1 year at The Counter
Last night I returned to The Counter, and it was every bit as special as I remembered. I first met Chef Robin Read back in 2022, when he was running a pop-up in Rusthall. Fast forward to today, and he’s made his mark with his very own restaurant at 77 Calverley Road in Tunbridge Wells.

As part of our ‘staycation’ series, we were kindly invited to spend a night at the Old School Cottage, a beautifully renovated building situated behind The Dorset Arms on the Buckhurst Estate in Withyham. Set deep within the English countryside lies The Dorset Arms, an 18th Century public house owned by the De La Warr family.
