Spring Smoothie

There’s something about a creamy smoothie that makes it a staple in my diet. You can use them as (a healthier version of) a liquid lunch or use them as an extra to your normal meals. It’s never a bad thing to add a few more portions of fruit and vegetables into your day, this helps your digestive system and keeps it happy - a win for all in my opinion.

They’re practical, delish, healthy, filling and pretty… lets be honest.

My favourite recipe for a long time now has been my a cacao banana smoothie, however since we are coming into the warmer months *finally*, I am craving berries and greens so much more. I am a fan of superfoods and smoothies are a great excuse to throw them in to supercharge my health. If you aren’t much of a fan and just fancy a good tasting nutritious drink, feel free to scrap the chia and flaxseed.

The recipe I’ll share with you is one I’ve made three days straight in the Spring sunshine. If you like your smoothies thinner, add more water or milk.

Recipe

Around 300ml Water/Plant Milk, Ice, 1 (Frozen) Banana, 3 Dates, 1 tbsp Chia Seeds, 1 tbsp Flaxseed and 2 Handfuls of Spinach.

Nutribullet the lot and enjoy!
