#STAYCATION : ROMNEY MARSH SHEPHERDS HUTS

As part of our #staycation series, we were invited to stay at Romney Marsh Shepherd’s huts by Kristina and her husband Paul. The huts are situated on their farm that’s been in their family for over 130 years.

Our journey from Tunbridge Wells takes us south to Romney Marsh in around 50mins by car taking in some beautiful Kent countryside. We arrive on the farm and are warmly greeted and shown where to park, my 3-year-old son who is joining me on this staycation is a ball of excitement having spotted all sheep in the fields!

#STAYCATION : DOWNASH WOOD TREEHOUSES

As part of our #staycation series we were invited by Stephen and Jane to experience Downash Wood, they have created a family retreat including two treehouses and two log cabins. Their son dreamed of having a treehouse in the woods so they went about creating it and spent the last three years building these unique and beautiful spaces for guests to enjoy.

As part of our ‘staycation’ series, we were kindly invited to spend a night at the Old School Cottage, a beautifully renovated building situated behind The Dorset Arms on the Buckhurst Estate in Withyham. Set deep within the English countryside lies The Dorset Arms, an 18th Century public house owned by the De La Warr family.
