Christine runs Babyprints, a service that captures a fleeting moment in time and frames it in every detail for years and years to come.

Her business started in 2014 having decided that her career in banking no longer suited her lifestyle. She wanted the flexibility to work around her children and always had a desire to indulge in something creative.

The detailed replica hand and foot casts she creates evoke memories and feelings for the commissioning client, irreplaceable mementoes that would be cherished for generations to come.

The youngest cast she has done was for a baby, a mere 36 hours old. The other end of the spectrum has seen her make casts of an 87 year olds hands and every age in between. Last year alone she made 495 casts!

Every piece is so individual, she is always really interested to see the pose a hand has been held in when she takes the casts from the mould, new borns always generally have clenched fists while toddlers tend to keep hands open, but each one is unique and that’s what makes them so special

Her product range continues to grow and last year saw the addition of animal paw casts. She collaborates with Janet Penny from Hushabye Photography as she thinks a professional newborn photograph gives an elegant finish to her beautiful frames. This year she is planning to collaborate with Nic Bisseker Photography to add pet portraits to her framing of dog casts. Christine also makes beautiful family statues of hands clasped together – a truly unique piece of family art and hierloom to treasure.
