Holistic beauty spa in the trees... experience Wild Iris

Head South for 25 minutes from Tunbridge Wells towards Hawkhurst and you'll find yourself in the midst of Flimwell Park - a ground-breaking eco-conscious business enclave spread across a vast 46-acre woodland.

Nestled amidst the verdant flora is Wild Iris, a holistic spa that promises to restore and rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. We were lucky enough to be invited to sample their signature Gua Sha Facial and explore the extensive range of treatments on offer.

Our experience began in the relaxation room on the second floor, which is suffused with natural light and the tranquil ambiance of the surrounding forest. We were greeted with a refreshing cup of orange tea and given time to unwind before our treatment began.

Wild Iris's founder, Emma, established the spa with the intention of providing clients with a serene haven that is truly one of a kind. From experiential packages to everyday beauty upkeep such as waxing and eyebrow shaping, she offers a broad range of holistic treatments. The spa features two treatment rooms that can be joined to accommodate couples, a lounge for pedicures and manicures, and a relaxation room.

The stage was set for our Gua Sha Facials, complete with candlelight, fragrant incense, and a vibrating massage table. Soft, cosy blankets cocooned us in a soothing atmosphere that quickly sent us into a state of relaxation. The therapist exfoliated and moisturized our skin with organic skin care products, while the Gua Sha tool was employed to rejuvenate and refresh the skin's surface.

Throughout the session, gentle chimes sounded, contributing to the meditative mood, while the neck, shoulders, and arms were massaged as part of the 1 hour 30-minute combined treatment.

Emerging from our tranquil reverie, we returned to the relaxation room for a foot soak and massage, followed by more tea. This experience was the ultimate form of escapism, and we both felt a tinge of regret when it was time to leave. Emma and Ellie welcomed us into the space they have created and made us feel completely at ease, prompting us to consider a return visit soon.
